Curator’s Choice
Japanese Print Acquisitions of the Past Decade

October 19, 2019 to April 20, 2020

Retiring Curator of Asian Art Maribeth Graybill presents her personal favorites from among nearly 350 Japanese prints acquired during her tenure at the Museum. The exhibition includes works by leading masters of the 18th and 19th centuries, chosen for their exceptional condition; warrior prints, a genre previously neglected in the collection; and prints by women artists.

※The Portland Art Museum is closed effective March 14, in an effort to further stem the spread of COVID-19. All public programs, screenings, and events are canceled until further notice.
