This exhibition features swords made by Japanese traditional technique. Sword symbolizes spirit of warrior, and its increasing popularity reflects the importance of its particular beauty. The exhibition includes the masterpiece in Japan as well as Oita’s local swords which were made for practical use. In addition, we display the accessory of sword like metal ring and other metalworks from Meiji period which gained international acclaim. The exhibition provides the opportunity to get in touch with traditional aesthetics.
